DebConf24 7일 차('24. 8. 3.)에 제가 참가한 세션은 다음과 같습니다.

'DebConf 25 BoF' 세션에서는 2025년에 프랑스 브레스트(Brest) 내 공과대학인 이엠테 아틀랑티크(IMT Atlantique)에서 열리는 DebConf25에 관한 발표가 진행되었습니다. 발표 슬라이드의 일부를 아래에 옮겨 적었으니 참고해 주십시오.
Brest
- Important harbor and military port since Cardinal Richelieu (17th century)
- 90% destroyed during WW2
- Never strayed from its military past, and today is one of the country's most important strategic points
- Vibrant city in a gorgeous natural setting
Transportation
■ By plane
1. Land at Brest Bretagne Airport (IATA: BES)
2. Take the airport bus '20' to Porte de Gouesnou (9 min)
3. Take the tram 'A' to Fort Montbarey (26 min)
4. Finally, take the bus '2b' to Technopôle (12 min)
■ By Train or bus
1. Arrive at Brest train station
2. Take the bus '2b' to Technopôle (30 min)
■ By ferry
1. Arrive at Roscoff or Saint-Malo harbor
2. Go to Roscoff or Saint-Malo train station (6 min by taxi, 20-30 min on foot)
3. Take a train to Brest and follow the "By train" instructions
Housing near the campus
- There is a campsite with mobile homes close to the campus
- 40 min on foot, 5 min by bus +9 min on foot
- The mobile homes can host 4-6 people
- We have not booked with them yet
Networking
- The school has a 10GB/s upstream to the French education and research network
- On-campus bedrooms are covered by the ResEI, a student ISP with a 10GB/s upstream
- We intend to deploy it across the venue for the duration of the event
Power plugs
- France does NOT use Schuko (Type F) plugs!
- We use... French (Type E) plugs!
- Both types are compatible with the hybrid CEE 7/7 plug
- If you see a hole for the earthing pin, you're good to go. Voltage: 230 V, Frequency: 50 Hz
Ouessant (Ushant)
- Island representing the westernmost point of metropolitan France
- World first automated and remote controllable lighthouse...
- ... because manu ships have run aground on Quessant
- 30 min by bus, then 90 min by ferry (it's cold outside during the trip, but great experience!)
- Sheep and goats!!!
Coastal path
- 1700 km long hiking trail (GR 34) along Brittany coast
- From Saint-Nazaire to the Mont-Saint-Michel
- 5 min on foot from the campus
'DebConf 26: In Your City?' 세션에서는 2026년 DebConf 개최지 선정을 위해, DebConf26 개최를 희망하는 각국 데비안 로컬 팀의 발표가 진행되었습니다. 이 세션에서 발표만 진행하고, DebConf26을 개최지 선정을 위한 투표는 현장에서 곧장 시행하지 않았습니다. 발표는 영국, 태국, 일본, 브라질, 아르헨티나 로컬 팀 순으로 진행되었습니다. 각 로컬 팀은 DebConf26 개최지로 다음과 같은 지역 및 장소를 언급하고, 기타 내용을 청중들에게 설명했습니다.
1. 영국: 햇필드(Hatfield)
* 장소: University of Hertfordshire
2. 태국: 콘깬(Khon Kean)
* 장소: Khon Kean University
3. 일본: 고베(Kobe), 오키나와(Okinawa), 도쿄(Tokyo) 중 한 곳
* 현재 개최 예정지는 미정
4. 브라질: 브라질리아(Brasilia)
* 장소: Convention Center Ulysses Guimarães
5. 아르헨티나: 산타페(Santa Fe)
* 장소: Universidad Nacional del Litoral(UNL)
'Closing Ceremony' 세션에서는 DebConf24의 페막식이 진행되었습니다. 폐막식에서는 스폰서 소개 및 DebConf24에 관한 통계 등을 설명했습니다. 폐막식용 발표 슬라이드의 일부를 아래에 옮겨 적었으니 참고해 주십시오.

폐회식이 끝날 때쯤에 DebConf24를 진행한 분들이 모두 강단에 올라왔습니다. DebConf24를 진행한 분들이 생각보다 많아서 놀랐고, 그분들의 노력 덕분에 DebConf24가 원활히 진행돼서 감사한 마음이 들었습니다. 한편 폐회식이 끝나고 저는 혼자라서 외로움을 느끼기도 했습니다.
